Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play an integral role in ensuring our properties are kept in tiptop shape. You will be providing support to our Maintenance Manager as well as our Property Services, Guest Services and Owner Relations Teams with a variety of general property maintenance and upkeep, troubleshooting and general repairs. You will need to have a can-do attitude and be a jack of all trades with a basic level of comfort relating to all aspects of a home, including lighting, electronics, appliances, basic plumbing/electrical and the general appearance and upkeep of the interior of our homes. In the off-season, you will be performing preventative maintenance inspections and upkeep and identifying areas in our homes that need attention. A level of comfort with minor patching and painting, caulking is an asset.
Note: Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for someone who can ideally commit to 6 months+ in the role and who can consistently work 4-5 days.
Job requirements
- Must have a valid BC Drivers’ License
- Background in construction work or trade work preferred, but not necessary
- Experience in a property management or hotel environment is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Observational skills and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Available to work weekends
Duties
- Work with our team to respond to guest and owner’s maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- You follow instructions to a tee and are able to communicate effectively on what needs follow up
- You will be on the go, moving from home to home throughout the day with minimal supervision
- Completing timely work order notes via our app on your phone
- Performing property inspections when needed
Ideal candidate
- Excellent problem solver with a can-do attitude
- Professional demeanour with excellent communication skills, comfortable communicating with guests
- Ability to competently perform small repairs and maintenance
- Strong general handyman skills
- Basic mechanical/pluming/electrical skills are an asset
- A level of comfort with minor patching and painting, caulking is an asset
- Knowledge of the Whistler area is an asset

Property Inspector
We are looking for Property Inspectors who are motivated, fun, and detail-oriented.
As a Property Inspector, you are responsible for the overall care and presentation of our properties for both guests and homeowner arrivals. You serve as the final set of eyes to ensure our housekeeping is held to our high standards. This detail-focused role requires a keen eye, thoughtfulness, and consistency.
You will work closely with members of the Outpost Team, including the Reservations Team, Housekeeping Team, Owner Relations, and Maintenance, to ensure all the pieces are in place for guests to enjoy the best possible vacation experience in Whistler and with Outpost.
Job requirements
- Valid work permit
- BC driver’s license
- Capable of being on your feet for long periods
- Must be a hard worker, responsible, trustworthy and honest.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with guests
Duties
- Inspecting properties to ensure they are maintained and cleaned to the Outpost standards, ready for guest arrivals
- Light cleaning
- Staging units to create a welcoming feel for our guests
- Identify and report maintenance-related issues
- Assisting different departments when needed
- Using our app to conduct audits, checklists and create/execute work orders.
- Assisting with managing inventory and stock supplies
Ideal candidate
- Prior housekeeping experience in hotel/property management is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail with a can-do attitude
- Adaptability and flexibility to focus on whatever task is most important at any given time
- Ability to manage your time efficiently
- Knowledge of the Whistler area is an asset
- Basic maintenance skills and experience is an asset

Housekeeper
We are looking for Housekeepers who are motivated, fun, and detailed oriented.
As a member of the Outpost Housekeeping Team, you will be responsible for cleaning homes after our guests have departed. You will be provided with all the tools necessary to clean and stage each home to ensure it’s ready for the next guest arrival. Depending on the size of property, you may be working alone or in a team. Having a keen eye for detail and following a detailed checklist is key to success.
Outpost has the highest standard of cleaning and our Housekeeping Team is an integral part of the success of our business. You will work closely with other members of the Outpost Team, including the Guest Service Team, our Property Inspectors, Owner Relations, and Maintenance to ensure all the pieces are in place for our guests to make the most of their vacation in Whistler and Vacation Rental experience with Outpost.
